Roslin is home to the world
famous 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, one of Scotland's most historic
churches and renowned for its intricate stone carvings together
with countless theories, myths and legends associated with the
Chapel.
A major conservation project is
currently underway to refurbish the roof, stonework and stained
glass windows as well as improving visitor facilities.
Visitor numbers increased
dramatically following the release of the 2003 novel, The Da Vinci
Code, written by American author Dan Brown and later produced
as Hollywood movie, part of which was filmed in Rosslyn
Chapel.
