Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute (AIAI)

AIAI is a technology transfer organisation promoting the application of Artificial Intelligence research for the benefit of commercial, industrial, and government clients.  AIAI is part of the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh and has considerable experience of working with small innovative companies, and with research groups in larger corporations.

AIAI specialises in Intelligent Systems - systems making use of the knowledge of experts, or systems that learn.  Key research areas are Planning and Activity Management, Knowledge Systems and Knowledge Modelling, Adaptive Systems and Bioinformatics.

Support

Application development assists commercial clients to produce innovative solutions while transferring the AI technology to experienced staff in the client organisation. Also provide consultancy and training in the application of AI methods and techniques

AIAI operates an Affiliateship Scheme which will typically identify one or two key goals to be achieved, and these will be met by the most suitable mixture of services and collaboration.
